I have a secret/forbidden crush on my doctor and when I went in the other day with my mother, he kept on calling me cute and rubbing my shoulder. What could that mean? Cute as in looking at a child, puppy, or kitten? Or cute as in attraction?

LMAO... OK, Women are not men, they don't have these codes that mean something totally different when they talk.
When you ask a guy what's wrong and he says nothing, then he means nothing.
My guess is he wouldn't be so bold with your mother standing right there unless he wanted a law suit on his hands. See how he treats you when she's not around, if he's still rubbing your shoulder and calling you cute, then you can take it as he's hitting on you. Until then, cute is cute...

No I don't think so, I'm 21 going on 22 and my partner (we haven't been together long) is 43 . We have known each other about a year before dating. Became close friends before Desiding to date. Age is just a number and screw those who are trying to bring you down

it depends on what way in a sentence he was using it.. like maybe if he would have said something like 'look how cute she has grown up to be' or if he said something like 'i can just imagine how cute she looks when i am smacking her a**' then the first example could be taking like he was just saying your were cute like a child.. and then the second can be taken as an attraction sort of cute.

2 things. you are legal and if you are hot then he is a guy and will notice that. It is not like a 40 yo can't appreciate a hot young chick.
2nd. if he bangs you while you are a patient he can go to jail if you say he took advantage of you. So, he will probably never do it while you are a patient. Too much at risk

It means nothing more than he finds you "cute". He didn't say attractive, and doctors are not allowed to get involved with patients. Maybe your a fun person and he likes your personality. Doctors have favorite patients, don't kid yourself. But they are not allowed to act on any impulses they have or they could be fired fom their profession.
