This guy that I was casually seeing for over year, just moved away (sept) back to his hometown, for a job. He said he still wanted to keep in touch. So..about a month after he moved, I wrote him an email explaining some of my feelings, & questions he had asked me before he left, also invited him on vacation w/my parents. He emailed me back & asked to let him know when I go to CO. Then after that I called/emailed him a few times, didn't call back. So I didn't contact him for a month. Sometimes he gets suspicious if I don't keep in contact, so he called me lastnight. He asked me how I was, & then he told me about this girl he met, hooked up with. He knows I have feelings for him, so where was he going w/that? Anyway, I'm thinking he still wants me as a backup, is this sounding true? If she's not doin' him right, he wants to come back to me? He also asked about Colorado again, that he wants to go w/me still, what's the deal?!

From my point of view, the guy sounds like a player. The kind of guy with a girl(I say girl only because that's how these guys think) in every town. What they usually want is just a piece of meat on the side with his fries. For him to call you and tell you he's got another lady friend tells me he's moved on. And yes, if he comes back around, he's more than likely going to want to se you and not because of your wonderful personality or intelligence.

Well lemme tell you my feelings on this...keep in mind, this is my opinion and not necessarily the facts.
You have heard of an "ace in the hole" well...I think you are correct, he wants to keep you as a back-up or an "A$$ in the hole" You still care abouot him, that's understandable, but bid him well with this gal and tell him you will be his FRIEND only. If he continues to write you and keep it on the right keel then you may still have a friend...if not then you may have avoided becoming a booty-call.

He sounds like a ho to me. I had a girlfriend just like that and I left her *** and my life has been better ever since. I say drop his *** and find someone better than can at least treat you better than a pice of "backup meat." You should hold yourself to a higher standard than that.

If you have feelings for him then why did you not contact him for a month???? He doesn't have to wait on you. Just go to CO without him...geez.
