It's not terrible.
You just have to focus on something else, like saying that your foot hurts or your leg is falling asleep or think about other things. When it starts to hurt it won't if you keep telling yourself that the pain feels good and that you like it.
Getting my tattoo was very cathartic, actually.
I didn't feel much pain from it except the begining outline and the last 15 minutes of shading. The entire process took 4 hours.

Of course they do. Having a tattoo put on some places on the body hurts more than others. How much a tattoo hurts depends on the person. To me, it was like being scratched by a kitten. Some other people find it far more or less painful.

Depends on how sensitive your skin is, where you get tatooed. DIffereny people have different tolorenece (sensitivity) to this. It has more pain for some than others and some people feel no pain. It all depends on the person, there is no 'yes' or 'no' for this question.

I don't think the little ones are all that painful, but I know the bigger ones are painful, because they use bigger needles. And you know that since a needle is going into your body, there is going to be at least a little pain. However, if you are considering a tattoo, I would consider a little one for several different reasons:
1) If you don't like it in the future, it is much easier to be taken care of (removed)
2) It will not hurt as badly.

i just got mine done and there not as bad as everyone thinks. yeah i needed to take a break every 15 minutes thats cause the needle would go over a spot that has bone under it. if you want to get a tattoo i recommend that you get it where there is more skin then less. it kinda feels like someone is dragging a pen across your skin lol. if you do get one make sure that it is done by a professinal and that he or she takes all the rights sanitary steps. good luck! and if you get one i hope it turns out nice
p.s dont pick the scabs cause the tattoo will have spots on it that is kinda noticable.

it feels like a burn, depending on how big your tatoo is. it really doesn't last long. it does take a couple of weeks to heal up, but there isn't really much pain during that time.

I have three tattoo's. The best way I can describe the sensation would be akin to your foot falling asleep and you get the pins & needles sensation. It was very tolerable for me, more of an annoying pain rather than the excrutiating type.

Only if the person doing it is not experienced, look at his portfolio & shop around.
Additionally where you get it is also a factor: for instance if you get one at your ankle or on your neck, it may hurt a little more.
