I'll make this description clear and quick: It seems my parents aren't too keen on "romance" at this age (I'm 17 for the love of...), but I got a girlfriend the other day. I know they'd love her, she's Christian, and is very kind hearted, etc, but I just don't know how to tell my parents I'm seeing someone. Please give me some useful advice, I know this is my decision, that's why I made it, but I want her to meet them, and for me to meet her family, so they need to be told. Thanks in advance!

Meeting somebody 'the other day' in parent language - believe me - is not that long ago. You may feel like you have known your new girlfriend for ages but give it a little more time and then introduce her. Go meet her family first and if all goes well then break the news gently by saying that she's just a girl-friend.

Okay well, I know you could do, now this is just my opinion so if you don't agree with me that okay. Here it goes... tell your parents that you have found someone that loves you and you love her back, tell them that with her you feel like your heart is full, and without her your heart is empty, (that always turns on people) lol... and tell them anything that would make them trust you with a girl. Probably the reason why they don't want you to have a girlfriend is because they don't trust you. So you have to earn your trust by telling them the truth, because if they find out on their own without you telling them you are more likely to get in trouble rather then if you just come out and tell them. I'm happy to help! Bye!

Tell them separately. Tell the parent you're most comfortable with first, then you can tell the other together. I'm sure they'll be happy for you; you sound as though your head was well screwed on, why should they worry that you got a girlfriend at 17? They need to trust you to know what you're doing; show them they can!
Good luck!

This is one of the reasons I'm not keen on religious upbringings.
Puts a lot of burden on the children to conform to unnatural scenerios.
Its natural that you are attracted to a girl and she to you. You should put that fact above your parent's unrealistic high standards they seem to be holding you to. After all... your naughty parents once had sex too you know. GL.

Just bring her over one day and introduce her and let them make up their own minds.Your not to young to have a girlfriend they just don't want you to rush into anything too fast.Parents are worriers and they will be that way until they die.I'm 24 and my parents are concerned about me all the time. Its because they want me to be Happy and have all that life has to offer. And they don't want to end up getting some girl pregnant and ruin your life.

that´s nice, I don´t think your parent´s can be that old fashioned. tell them you have a girlfriend & you would like her to come for tea, or just to meet her. your not to young at all . go on tell them today.sure it´s better having a nice Christmas with your girlfriend around rather than been fedup without her Have a Merry Christmas

Bring her over, snog her on the couch and get at it. Then pretend you were up to no good untill your parents come bursting through the door and say "what the hell is going on here" then you say "sorry pops i gotz myself a g/friend" hahaha. << Best answer L:O:L

Are you a christian ? because if so your parents should be very pleased for you that you are going out with a christian girl and are not going to have sex.
Any way on to telling them, "Im going to town with someone"
"oh really who with"
" 'her name'"
" Oh right whos that?"
" One of my friends, we've been seeing each other, shes really nice"

I would just as your parents if it`s ok to bring a friend around, I`m sure when they meet her they will be enchanted with her.
Most parents are very protective of their children, and yours are no exception. good luck
