It would not be too cold, especially in mild southern italy. You could tour both north and south just plan on the colder northern weather and the warmer south.

I think Italy in the winter is a wonderful time to go, however, it won't be warm. If you have an image of spending sun-drenched days on the beach on the Amalfi coast, you may want to re-evaluate things.
Also, the question of how cold depends on where in Italy. Just to give you an idea, Florence is about on the same Latitude asVermont (44 degrees N.), and between Naples and Sicily is about the same Lattitude as Philadelphia (40 degrees N.). Obviously, the weather patterns aren't exactly the same, but just want to give you some perspective.
Again, I think Italy is a wonderful place to visit anytime of year, but just get yourself in the right frame of mind before going...

hi from Rome, Italy! Honeymoon in December in Italy could be a very good idea. December is warmer than January and February.
In Rome, Florence, Naples, Sicily you can find good weather and temperature from 10 to 20 degrees. In the North of the country (Milan, Turin e.g.) it is colder but it you can visit it with no problems.
I live in Rome and I suggest you to visit (if you have 2 weeks):
- Rome - Florence - Venice - Naples.
Near Naples you can a find a little "Paradise": the "Costiera", Amalfi, Sorrento, Positano and the Islands of Capri and Ischia.
Best wishes... !

Not al all.. I mean, it's usually cold, ranging from very cold - Alps - to almost warm - Sicilly, but IMHO opinion, smoldering hot and tourists overcrowded Summer is far worse. Actually, Winter is the best time to go for art/museums/churches, since there are not so many people you can look at your ease. Just expect some ordinary "Christmas frenzy" (many people shopping, traffic, overcrowded trains..), check opening hours (they could vary or be closed around Xmas and New Year's Day), wear warm clothes, and enjoy.

by using Atlantis, i think of i understand what you're speaking approximately. How close it particularly is to the equator relies upon upon how heat it particularly is. Italy would have snow, in spite of the undeniable fact that it particularly is meant to be advantageous all year around! It additionally relies upon on how quickly you plan to take you're honeymoon. i've got no longer been to the two of the places, so i would not understand for specific. look it up on the internet in case you like greater techniques. Congratulations on your marriage!
