My girlfriend says it ALL the time. If we are on the phone for an hour, she'll average at least 10-15 times. I know this sounds bad, but can it be said too much? I kind of feel like she's wearing out the term! An I love you should exhilerate you, and how can that happen if it's said that many times? What are your thoughts?

So, you know the exact day your going to die, huh? can you tell me when I'm going to die so I can tell my loved ones how much I love them the week before and not have to worry about it any other time?

Point is, you never know when your gonna go, you could walk out to your car and get hit by a bus. Or in a wreck on the way to work. It's always ALWAYS good to let someone know you love them.

There shouldn't be a set amount on how many times you're allowed to say I love you, but it is very possible to wear out the phrase. If it doesn't mean anything to you when she says it, then it is said way too much. It should give you butterflies when she says it and you should feel that it's true, if it's not doing that, you need to talk to her and tell her your opinion on it. Good luck!

I love you is something special. Its not wrong to say a lot but it seems that she's really killing the meaning behind the word. It's just like saying I'm sorry. You can only say it so much before it's not sincere any more and looses the feelings behind it.

She probably runs out of things to say, so she pulls out the ILY. SHe is just trying to make sure you know, and she may feel like you are losing interest in the convo, or that you are bored, so she is seeing if you will say it back so she feels better and more secure.

by saying i love you that frequently the meaning of the word is getting lost... the words i love you are supposed to be special and she is using as often as the words 'a' 'an' or 'the'....tell her that you want those words to actually mean something not just be a meaningless phrase

it's only worn out if you don't feel it. i say i love you to my husband all day. he says the same thing to me. it will only annoy you when you stop feeling the "i love you". it's like wearing out the whole eating thing. or going to the bathroom. it's a life neccesity. as is love. why would that annoy you?

Ummm... No I dont think you can say it too much. I think people who think that saying it alot makes the "term" mean less dont really and truly feel it.
