And why do they refuse to back up their beliefs in their own words instead of quoting from the Bible? It would seem that when trying to "save" people who already don't believe the Bible, it would make more sense to actually explain things, not quote something the person doesn't even believe in.

Christianity is an Orthodoxic religion; that is that as long as you believe the correct things you go to heaven (as oposed to an Orthopraxic religion which requires you do the right things). So Christians want you to believe. As many "fundies" follow charismatic churches that emphasise coversion, they often try to convert us freethinkers.

Because with rare exception, they do not think about the question at all. These are people who don't know how to think, how to apply logic and reason. They are narrow-minded, fearful little bigots raised by narrow-minded, fearful and bigoted parents. They propagate their shortcomings by breeding little nits identical to themselves. They are a cancer upon humankind.

We don't think we're right, we think GOD is. And if we're quoting from His Word, it's because we know He has the Words of eternal life, and WE don't!
