I don't believe that the Bible is right. It is based on faith. If you have faith in then it is right. I don't have faith in it, to me it's not right.

The bible is not right. We have boat loads of scientific data supporting this. However, all is not lost. The bible like many other sacred works (such as the Torah, Kabbala and Quran) if kept in its proper place as a metaphor, has many excellent stories and gives people a guidebook for life. One must use common sense when interpretting the Bible and all other sacred texts. Does this mean that people are going to bend and twist some of the best and clearest information to suit their own needs? Of course, but they already do that anyway. I like Uncle Thesis' answer...
The main reason the Bible is right is because God says it is.
(Would you be very shocked if I told you that I believe that there are Holy Scriptures that are not in our Bible, and that there may be some stuff in there that doesn't belong? Most Christians would not agree with me, though.)

the main reason the Bible is right because it is...God's word. Its value extends far beyond its internal harmony, scientific and historical accuracy, practical wisdom, and reliable prophecy.

The word of God is alive and exerts power and is sharper than any two-edged sword.—Hebrews 4:12.

God’s word, or message, recorded in the Bible is like a powerful two-edged sword that can cut down religious falsehood and help righthearted people find spiritual freedom. (John 8:32) This spiritual sword can also defend when assaulted by temptations or apostate attempts to destroy faith. (2 Cor. 10:4, 5) When tempted by Satan in the wilderness, Jesus effectively used the sword of the spirit to fend off false reasoning. (Matt. 4:1-11) Jesus also used the sword of the spirit to help others escape from Satan’s control. “What I teach is not mine,” said Jesus, “but belongs to him that sent me.” (John 7:16)

People who heed the bible's advices put pn the 'new personality' of fine conduct, Christian qualities, and modest appearance, which give a witness without words. (1 Pet. 2:12; 3:1-4)

The Bible is right in one way because you believe.
It is also right in another way because if all copies of the bible were destroyed, 99% of it could be totally recontructed using other documents and blah blah blah.
It is the most historicly accurate document written.
That is why.
And you can do researce on it too.
There has been research done, which is why so many people believe.

Its not just a question of acceptance.
The Bible proves its accuracy over and over again.
Example:
For the longest time it was thought Pontius Pilate never existed.
Lo and behold, if some archeologist (about 40 years ago) didn't find a stele with his name written on it, bold as brass.
Example:
Isaiah 40:22 talks about the earth being round.
Almost nobody believed that at the time (800 B.C.)
What proved true?
Job 26:7 talks about the earth hanging on nothing.
Almost nobody believed that at the time. (1500 B.C.)
What proved true?

Because it is a historical record. Believe it or not, the people in the bible truly lived.Paul, Peter, Mathew, Mark ,John and the rest to include Jesus. They all lived. The bible in itself is a history book that is accurate in what history it gives.

Maybe to you but not to me. That is what living in a free country is about. What the hell do you mean by right anyway. Right as in correct. Right as in politics, such as fascist.
