Mine didnt hurt too too bad when i got it done. I had my cartilidge in my ear done the same day and that hurt worse than my belly button. However my belly button got infected several times after i got it done despite taking really good care of it. that hurt a lot! You probably wont be able to sleep on your stomach for awhile. Good luck and remeber to keep it as clean as you can...the belly buttonis one of the dirtiest places on your body...thats why it gets infected alot when you get it pierced (also remeber even when you take it out youwill always have a hole there...no one told me that)

it is a big needle . it is a 12g. which is about 2.5 mm wide. they use one size uo fromt he jewley so it is easier to get the jewelry in when pierced. it hurt for me... which ear piercigns are you taling about? earlobe? or catrilage? i find the cartilage piercings to be painful. it felt like that. just pinch your belly button as hard as you can and probably multiply that by 3 or 4 and add a burning sensation... that pain will only last for a few second. it is a very quick process.... from there on you will need to take grat care of it. wear baggier clothing so tight shirts wont snag ont he jewelry and cause migration....your piercing will take up to a year to fully heal. mine is 6 months old and it is still healing.

after you get it pierced it will be akward and irritating to bend over or twist (this is why navel piervings take solong to heal there is alot of movement where the jewelry s at)
but it hurts for about a week or two after that. the sea salt soaks help wit hthe pain alot! they are so relieveing!

never use neosporin(or ointemnts) on your piercings. it will create a moist environment. the discharge that is part of the healing process will not be able to escpae, creating a moist environment perfet for an infection to brew..

never use rubbing alcohol or hydrogen perioxide on your piercing either. it will dry out the pioercingl. irritate it make your piercing take longer to heal.... this is what the professionals have told me and have heard not so goo dtoies when peip0le use these products on their piercings... also dont use bactine either... it says "not for puncture wounds" and a piercing is socnsidered a puncture wound..

stick tot he sea salt soaks and the aftercare pierce solution that they should prvide you and you willbe good to go.

remember it is only a temporary pain but uts well worth it! dont chicken out! it will be fine. i hate needles too yet im addicted to piercings...lol

i went with y friends and held their hands and they held mine lol its normal.

you will also not be able to go swimming for about 3 months either.... and clean it only as much as your piercer tells you too. over cleaning will kill off the good bacteria and take it longer to heal. for me it was a sea salt soak for 15 minutes once a day. and cleaning it wiht the aftercare pierce solution twice a day. thats all it shoudl need. nothing more. anything more will only irritate ti further.

and no you wont always have a hole there. they tke time to close up. some peoples close up faster than others. plus you can always go to the doctor and see what they reccommen if the hole never closes up

I had mine done 4 years ago and I only recommend that you don't get it pierced when you are going to be riding in a car for hours other then that it didn't hurt that bad and the needle was rather big but when i got my cartilage pierced i didn't think it was that bad just bring a friend to hold the hand of it ends pretty quick

If having ur ears pierced hurt you a lot than Im sorry to say that yes this will hurt. But from what everyone has told me its over pretty quickly and it didnt hurt that much. Just make sure you take care of it and ask for care instructions or else it could get infected which really isnt that big of deal either- just kinda gross!

Dont worry! If you really want it it will be worth it! Its a few minutes of being uncomfortable to have that pretty thing for the rest of ur life! I think it makes up for it

I'm pretty afraid of needles so I was really nervous. I pinched my boyfriend really hard while they did it....so that kind of helped!
It's a thick needle. For some reason I think they did mine with a toothpick or a needle that looked like a toothpick (that's how thick it is). It is over with very quickly. It will feel sore for about 2wks after that depending on your body. Make sure to keep it very very clean! It might seem weird, but cleaning it with soap does not sting or anything. Use Dial antibacterial liquid soap (the orange one). Follow the instructions the piercer gives you carefully. So yes it hurts, but if a big baby like me can do it, so can you! :) And it's worth it!

i'm not particular even if or not they could pierce the scar yet there should not be a difficulty with that I actually have heard human beings have their bellies done many times. It stings somewhat at first regardless of the indisputable fact that it really is over so quickly you do not care a lot. it really is almost resembling a pointy pinch feeling. keep it sparkling with salt water basically and also you need to be fantastic

Hold your arm straight out and then pinch your elbow skin, that's basically what it feels like. You don't have many nerves in your belly button, so it's not a sensitive area. When they go to do it, I bit my lip so my mind was too busy thinking about that pain to even notice my belly button and I sqeezed my friends hand so she could share in the pain :) . Mind you, I'm a HUGE wuss when it comes to needles. You'll be fine.

i had mine done when i was 16. it didn't hurt hardly at all. i had to clean it often at first. it will be sore for a while after wards. the biggest downside was that it would get stuck to my clothes sometimes. i was just a little uncomfortable until i got it unstuck.

ok, as someone mentioned above-- yes, you will always have a hole there! i took mine out about 4 years ago & the hole is still present! it is actually DISGUSTING sometimes because some white pussy crap comes out!!! it is soooo gross! weird too.

It depends on your pain tolerance, I have needles but having my belly pierced was just fine, it was actually funny!

Take a Chance...nothing can happend...just make sure you CLEAN it all the time....
