He is calling from a state mental hospital. There are no threats just proclamations of love and adoration. They are on my answering machine when I get home. I know him from a friend I met about 12 years ago.
Do you think he's dangerous??? Should I do anything or just ignore it.

I would be very careful with this. Sometimes innocent phone calls can lead to something not so innocent, especially with someone who's mentally imbalanced . If you know the person you might want to talk to them first or your friend of 12 years. If that's not possible, I would consider contacting the administration at the hospital and talk to them about it. If that doesn't work, contact the public authorities.

If he is from a mental hospital, you should notify it and change your number. Maybe even to a unlisted one. Also, did you meet HIM 12 years ago or your FRIEND? because if you did meet him then he went to the mental hospital, how would he know how you look? Maybe you should try to visit him and ask why he calls you and if you like him ask when he is getting out.

If he's in a mental hospital, there is obviously something wrong with him. He could be dangerous, you don't know. Thats why I'd suggest getting the number blocked or change your number or find some way to prevent him from reaching you. You never know what he could do, and its better to be safe than sorry.

Call the hospital and report him. Also call the telephone company to report his calls. Don't take any chances. If you have to, change your number.
