I have a 97 Honda Accord, and in about a year, I want to get a new car, preferably a coupe, for 2 specific reasons for myself. 1. Easier to park. I have limited depth perception, and parallel parking distances judgment can be difficult sometimes. 2. people usually don't ask you for rides! anyway I went to the LA Auto show, sat in several cars, and was disappointed that several of my favorites, like the BMW 6 and Scion Tc had zero headroom. Not totally opposed to buying a 4 door. My dream car is a G35, still want it although only having about 5" of head room.

Try looking at the Dodge Magnum R/T , Charger R/T, Chrysler 300C or try out the SRT8 versions. Lots of head room for over 6 foot people and plenty of leg room as well! These cars are comfortable to drive and lots of power especially with the Hemi's.

I am 6'1 and have a Magnum SRT8 and lots of headroom and leg room for myself and plenty of leg room for back passengers as well

I'll only answer this Q if you promise not to laugh!
I am serious.

Most people do not believe me, when I answer questions like this but I am relating the absolute truth.

Ford Focus is the answer.!!!

I'm telling you, this car will fit just about any Driver!
I have sold this car to hundreds of people who laugh when I suggest it , but after getting into it .....no more laughing!

My personal "record" height customer was 6' 10" tall & his wife was 5'2" !!!!!
also this car (with the teloscoping tilt wheel) is not a problem for those people that are "big" around the waistline either !
That goes for pregnant women as well as "overweight" folks.

You can get this car in several bodystyles, and loaded with leather heated seats & all the bells & whistles or a bare bones el-strippo model & it still fits 99% of drivers.

OK ...are you done laughing?

Go drive one! You'll see for yourself.
Then come back here & appologize to me for laughing!

Ethol is dead-on about tall people being able to fit into a Focus very easily. I'm 6'2" tall, and I have plenty of head room even if I want to drive while wearing a crash helmet (I've taken it autocrossing a couple times). However, there is one problem with a Focus: The front end just disappears on you. You can't tell where the front end is, which makes it a bit of a pain to parallel park. However, at least it's easy to tell where your tail is.

I've got a 2007 Toyota Camry. I'm 6'4" and have plenty of head and legroom. It has a telescoping steering wheel, though I wish it would telescope even more. It's not a sporty car, but it looks kind of sharp. I've got the 4 cylinder. I hear the 6 cyl is much peppier.

I know this is kind of opposite of what you are going for, but did you ever think about a dodge ram srt10? Viper engine... in a big ol' truck. Maybe a ford lightning? They offer room and comfort, while still being very sporty. The SRT10 will sure blow the pants off of anything on the road.

when it comes to cars they have never has the tall people in mind,,dodge has some that have a lot of head room and leg room in them, and there are others also, but i agree with you i don't want to drive something that my head touches the top of the car,you might look at some of the newer dodges ,and a few of the Chevy's are pretty roomy also,, good luck hope this help,s.,,have a good x-mas.
