as a bf, since I like him and he already has a gf. Do you think it would be too harsh if i suggest that we don't talk to each other at all for awhile. i think it would help me get over him. the problem is that i see him at work.

No i think this is the right thing to do. when you see him at work keep it friendly hi is enough. dont go into to much details with him. and remeber life is too short to dwell on one person.

Well, did he lead you on to think something would happen?
If he did that then you should not talk to him at all. If you just fell for him and told him you like him more than just friends...then just keep the friendship cordial since you work with him. He's a guy with a girlfriend...but some guys still like to get other women to be attentive to them.
He might be a player or on an ego trip. Forget him and have a happy holiday

I wouldn't do that, it will just turn up the tension (only because you still have to work together).
Keep it cool, and a bit distant, and find a cute BF!
