Modern anesthesia is very safe. It sound like you will be receiving sedation not general anesthesia. You will be carefully monitored during the case, your blood oxygen level, blood pressure, and EKG. For a person healthy enough to be pregnant, you should have an extremely low risk for anesthesia. You will probably at higher risk on your drive to and from the hospital than from anesthesia.

Anesthesia is not that scary. A specialist will "put you under". He/She knows what they are doing I promise you. They have a degree in it. Most people have no problems with this..I don't know you but I am sure you will do just fine.
Good Luck!

You will not even notice when you go under, and as a matter of fact you might even like the high.
