I know that when you eat celery you actually lose more calories than gain, so is it the same for cabbage???

the reason that you loose more calories is because of the energy that you have to use to chew it.
I don't think that you would use nearly as many when eating cabbage. Although it may depend on how it is prepared....

It takes more energy to burn the celery calories off. Yes it is the same for cabbage (especially raw cabbage).... I know this because I have studied the food calorie intake on just about all foods. I am also on a diet where I have to count calories in order to get to my ideal weight!!!

I'm not sure if that's true, but I do know that the motion of chewing celery makes you lose calories. Kinda like a workout for your mouth.

I think you should research this somewhere other then here. If a person were to come up with something that was negative calories, he would be richer then The Queen of England. Jeanne Neiditch, founder of weight watchers, successfully debunked this myth many years ago. It still springs up now and then.

There are no calories in celery, but as you chew this stringy food, you actually burn calories, which means that it's negative calories, sort of.

The process of masticating, digesting and transporting glucose etc requires energy.

Maybe the food provides less than it produces, however it may provide vitamins and minerals that are needed to remain healthy and assist directly in the digestion and elimination process making the overall system more effecient and effective.
