Due to the forums and topics discussed and I have input information on over the last few weeks, I have decided finally to become a Satanist.
With the fighting and disagreements of everyone thinking that they are right, I have only found a few groups of people who I can agree with. The Atheists and the Pagans. Everyone else thinks that every other religion or belief system is wrong, and I'm not going to be bound to the mindless perceptions that I have seen: people trying to convert others; people trying to rebuke others; Insults towards each other; so-called proof and other such items; bible quotations.
All I have to ask is this...
Are you happy that you have caused people like myself to convert to a separate religion to escape the fighting and insults provided by those who think that everything about their religion is right for everyone?
Because that is what has happened to me. I realize that there are real people in these forums, with the occasional re-post bot....

... And every seems to have their personal views... and attempt to shove their beliefs down others' throats. This is not what I like about life. I'll still anser questions here, just not in the R&S section anymore.

Somehow, I forgot to mention that I have had a lifelong interest that I'm finally acting upon. The forums here have helped me make my decision. True, I have let my guard down when it came to this, and it's also true that I MAY not be able to think for myself sometimes; However, I chose Paganism 2 years ago for my (at the time) girlfriend. I stuck with it, and it's been a year and a half since we broke ties. Now I'm perfectly certain what I want out of life is not going to come from an insivible entity, but they fruits of my labor and such.

Patience. Everything said in this forum will be used as propaganda for the Atheist-Christian War of 2216. Keep answering and asking. Eventually, we may learn something.

oh sweetie, you've taken this forum much too seriously.
If you want to become a Satanist, then good for you .. I know lots of wonderful people who are satanists.. but, honestly, did a forum really make you "convert"?? That's a bit scary to me.. not for those who fight and disagree here.. but for YOU..
You can't let other people's arguments in an online forum sway your opinion that much. First of all, you don't personally KNOW anyone here. While I thoroughly enjoy a lot of the people's posts on here (Jibba Jabba, Endora, Godzilla, myaloo and all Pastafarians .. ) I wouldn't know any of them if they came up to me on the street, with perhaps the exception of Godzilla who might squash me when she feels like it..lol
Honestly, a decision about your personal beliefs and way of life should come from study and introspection. Not from a forum.
My advice is to keep posting, but perhaps take a break from the computer for awhile.. this is not what life is all about.
Since you can agree with me (I'm a pagan), how about going outside for awhile and just get a breath of fresh air? Remember what your life is about and all the things you love about it. Go hang out with a friend that makes you feel good.. go eat some chocolate .. go get laid, for Mike's sake. Trust me, this won't mean anything special after that.
Hugs from me to you..

Being a Satanist will not exclude you from the fights or provide an escape from those who think they are right. So if that's the only reason you choose a religion then you need to go back and rethink. Not becuz' you choose Satanism but becuz religion should be something you enjoy and feel good about. Don't let peoples beliefs pick for you.

You must have a really weak belief system if other people can cause you to change. As a Christian, I know I can't convert anyone and no person's actions will change my belief. You have let Satan mislead you. This is no ones fault but your own, so take responsibility for yourself.
God Bless and Merry Christmas.

Yeah, I tried that, but turns out it too was a scam. Which really stinks cuz I love Satan's music. So do what I do...let people post what they believe, throw in an occasional whatever to keep them on their toes. Then sit back and watch them take it all so seriously. I love it. I would love to hang with you and watch Monty Python's Life of Brian. It expains it all.

Just wondering why you've chosen to become a Satanists when Atheists and Pagans are the only group you agree with. Why not become an Atheist or a Pagan?
Come over to the dark side...we have cookies. ;-)

that is your choice dont blame others for the way your life is headed ultimately you are the one to chose and the one that will receive the consequences whatever they might be good or bad - if Y|A made you chose satan then you might want to stay away from any other sources that might send you down dark paths - this is quite a weak forum for changing peoples minds about anything

I'm sorry to hear that. It's your choice. Enjoy your choice. As people are all unique, I am not surprised at the disagreements. I would be surprised if you find a peace in the choice you have made. But again, it's your choice.

Perhaps you have put too much faith in mankind.
It's not my job to "convert" people. I can't change any ones mind. Only God can change a persons heart.
I just try to answer questions here to the best of my ability.
