Did he lie about what he was willing to pay, or the work that would be required? I see nothing unchristian about being a hard man of business as long as he is fair and upfront with his requirements for the job.... Jim

Doesn't just everybody want to pay as little as possible??
Maybe he just wants evertybody to be a Christian, that's why he's telling everybody. I don't see the link with wanting to pay as little as possible. ME TOO wants to pay as little as possible! Don't you? (Well, maybe not if you're a miljonair... But that's just a small percentage of the population.) I hate it when the car dealer or anybody overcharges. Don't you? If no one now and then complains about the high job costs, then there would be less competition. In a capitalistic world (in which we currently are), that would mean job costs would be much higher.
And i'm sure his men are free to find another job; unless you would Bush call a legalised slavery supporter (since he has the most responsibility for the situation in the country).
BTW, doing no sin can't be a condition to be a Christan: than NOBODY would be a Christian!

Doesn't that be strange that Christian is often picked up for any wrong he does? It seems that the world is looking at a Christian as if he is a god yet we know he is not but he is trying to live as God teaches so that he can be godlike or Christlike. You would be aware that the Bible has given the believers 10 commandments and one of which is 'You shall not be greedy'. So if this is not followed then straightaway we can say he does not live as a Christian should do. If he persists, he is a false Christian. In fact, the Bible is very clear in teaching a Christian how to treat his servant fairly and with kindness too. So anyone who fails is his responsibility, God should not be blamed. If you blame God for the failing of his followers, you have been deceived, because if that distances you from God then you are done for. Please look at it as an action of any human being like you and not of God. But on the other hand, if he lives like what the good things that the Bible teaches, would you call him weird. There you are. God should then be credited for the good that person does and not otherwise, because what God teaches (Bible of course) is good for godliness and holiness in living by his followers.

Because they are also human... and humans use any blanket as cover for personal greed, Christianity hapends to be one of many... it doesn't make one Christian if he has this agenda... It's a shame, but it's true. I have dealt with many like you describe, and I am a Christian also. That doesn't mean I will do the same as them. Believe it or not all Christians are not alike. Some call themselves Christians on purpose and cast a shaddow on Christianity through their display of it, that doesn't make them Christians.
And just like nobody likes to be stereotyped please don't stereotype Christians, not all are the same, honestly.

We are all people with a human nature that is bad. Just being a christian does not mean that person won't take advantage of other while calling himself a christian. All people are good and bad and it comes out all the time. I can't speak for this guy, but maybe he should treat his people better.

I was raised by Penecostal preachers and I learned early on that the worst people in the world (Child molesters, thieves, liars, con artists, crooks) are ministers, priests, and preachers. When they come to your door holding a bible, hide your wallet, hide your wife, and hide your children. When they brag about being a Christian, what they mean is that Jesus forgives them for the evil deeds they are about to do to some poor little child.

Do not Generalize.
Believing in Christ, you're guided by the Bible.
Work and Payment rate, you have the Labor Code for that.
I don't think the person you work for, go about everyday and utter to everybody, "I am a Christian." I would think, 'he's nuts."

Everybody has something they hide behind. Some choose religion, some choose their job or company. It just depends. Where I live, it is a competition to see who is the most religious. I'm Christian, but I don't need to prove my beliefs.

People are people, first of all. All have sinned whether Christian or not. You can say you are a Christian, but to be a true Christian you have Jesus in your heart. Doesn't sound like this guy does. Please don't judge all Christians by his actions.

Maybe he's condescending. Like, if he's christian, he is way better than the protestant, the muslim etc.
It's just for image. And it's actually against the christian morals...you never want to be arrogant. It's pride.
