Well, if it is of any help.,,,,
I picked up a digi-box freeview item at my local Tesco, for £25. It works fine for my little "office" TV. some 40-odd channels & the same for digital radio.
Just make sure that the TV set in question has a SCART socket.
The one in the dining room doesn't. so that will become redundant unfortunately.
My Mother, bless her, just bought a new wide-screen jobby with built in digital stuff, but that was near £1000. My little thing upstairs does all that in similar fashion.
Beware, though that you may need a wideband TV aerial, depending on where you live, to pick up all the signals.
They are about £20-£30., but just plug in where the old one was.
May not need one if you are near a TV mast. (20 miles or so)
All the best of Merryness etc.
Bob

Not the cheapest! We made that mistake, thought the cheapest would be the easiest but it turned out to be one of the hardest to use. This was for a pensioner as well!
