I think that most Christians believe what they say. I am atheist and know for a fact that deep inside I don't believe that Jesus is Lord. I haven't heard any christians say that they believe that deep inside everyone knows that jesus is lord. I have heard plenty of them say that some people are "blind to the fact that jesus is lord".

I KNOW FOR A FACT God is real, not just by faith, but because I have seen the Hand of God at work in my life, and in the lives of so many others. God is real on EVERY level, and the only reason atheists don't acknowledge God is not because there is no "proof" of Him,because there is plenty of proof they simply choose to ignore, but because they just don't WANT to believe. And for those atheists who say they were once Christians, I'm sorry, but you were never a true Christian to so easily fall away from the truth just so you could live your own brand of truth. God is not hard to find if you truly and SINCERELY seek Him,and to say you were once a Christian doesn't mean you knew God personally, and you didn't seek Him out as your personal God. You took the easy way out,the cowardly way,and that is why you don't know God,and why you never saw Him at work in your life. Simply put, if you give God your all, He will give you His all.

The Christians that say they believe everyone thinks like they do is projecting their own ideology. You can't dictate what I do and do not believe in, and the only thing that you can believe for sure is your own faith.
Nature is balanced. Atheism and Christianity are two extremes of the same issue, so my personal thoughts are that neither can be correct. Any decent belief system should be balanced, natural and unobtrusive.

No. I also can't say that I KNOW that God is not real. People shouldn't say they know something when it is actually just what they believe.
Edit: To "percieve as true" means to believe. We can know something only if there is a real hard proof, and there is no such proof for or against the existance of God.

I am one of those Christians who believe that all people believe there is a GOD, but I dont' think ALL people believe that the Messiah, Jesus the Christ, did come to earth. God said that He has given ALL people a measure of faith, therefore, ALL people believe in something or nothing. Either way they are using their faith given to them by GOD. Isn't that ironic?! When a person say, " I don't believe in God". What their are actually saying is, " I believe there is no God". You see how they used their measure of faith given to them to reject God's existence? Regardless to what a person think or choose to disbelieve, God's existence wont change. He is and always will be GOD.

That's like saying a child deep down inside understands the pressures and responsibilities of adulthood.

I often suspect that many of the more fundamentalist variety, confronted daily with evidence opposed to what their faith claims to be true, must work very hard at convincing themselves of what they believe. I further suspect that very often this effort falls short of the mark.

Christains have to believe that or they have no true faith. Atheists try and deal with Christians with logic, but they come back with blind faith and the 2 are mutually incompatible.

I think that many Christians do, but those who come here desperately trying to convince us with fake evidence really aren't that convinced. I think that's pretty obvious.
