Have you ever heard of Channing Tatum? But Channing is actually a boy's name and a girl's name. I like it a lot. I would go with Channing.

Think about this kid growing up wiht the name "Channing". If you can see any problems with this, then dont name him that. I have a friend who named her son "Shadow", and now, 7 years later, wishes she followed my advice. I would have to lean toward, no, that it isnt a good name for a boy, but it really is not my decision to make. If you really want to name him that, then by all means do it, just be aware of what you might be doing to him in the future.

I know a boy with the name Channing, but I think it is more of a girls name. I also know a girl with that name.

Choose a more conventional name if I were you .Where on earth does Channing come from ??? It sounds like a present participle ??? Get a book on Christian names which should have all the well known and less well known names and tell you their origans and meanings. I don't want to be rude but the poor little thing does want a name of which he can be proud.

Yes, I love it! It's unique but not weird. I would pair it with a middle name that is more traditional. Something like....

Channing Luccas

Assuming you plan on capitalizing it, sure. Channing Crowder starts at linebacker for the Miami Dolphins, he did fine with it.

I'd say so. Channing Frye (think that's how it's spelt) plays ball in the NBA.
