Mathew 24:
24:23 Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here [is] Christ, or there; believe [it] not.
24:24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if [it were] possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
24:25 Behold, I have told you before.
24:26 Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, [he is] in the secret chambers; believe [it] not.
24:27 For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
24:28 For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together.
24:29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
24:30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

No, he will not walk on earth. Faithful will "meet the Lord in the air" (1. Thessalonians 4:17) which means that he will appear on heaven and will not touch the earth with His feet at His second coming.

He will return to the Mount of Olives spoken of in Zechariah 14, verses 3-6

3 Then the LORD will go out and fight against those nations, as he fights in the day of battle. 4 On that day his feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, east of Jerusalem, and the Mount of Olives will be split in two from east to west, forming a great valley, with half of the mountain moving north and half moving south. 5 You will flee by my mountain valley, for it will extend to Azel. You will flee as you fled from the earthquake [a] in the days of Uzziah king of Judah. Then the LORD my God will come, and all the holy ones with him.

Christ will come in a time of turmoil and unrest. He will specifically return to earth when He sets His feet on the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem.

Jail. Can you imagine the back taxes that he's gonna owe to the IRS after all this time? Not to mention the cable bills, utility companies that were never paid. Oh man, is he in trouble!

No one knows where he'll show up. But I know this for a fact that when he comes back, EVERYONE will see him. All at the SAME TIME! I can't wait for that day!

When Christ comes back you will not need to worry where. Every eye will see Him but only believers will be taken up with Him. The question you should be asking yourself is, "When He comes back will I be ready?"
