It's more complicated than that. To do that would actually harm the environment, plus it could flood a valley or harm other people and living things.

Because we do not have command of enough heat to do that. And it would wreck the environment of the mountain if we could do that. Also, melting the ice does guarantee we would find the bodies. You are assuming the bodies are sill on the mountain and only hidden by the ice, both of which are not valid assumptions.
