Food always works and if you can bake that's even better. A hard to please mom will always be hard to please, so don't stress out about that. Do the best you can!!!! Try an a assortment of treats. I like to make peanut-chocolate chip cookies, coffee cake, and cookie bars. For your little sister you might want to might her some sugar cookies, then top it off with a nice basket for all the goodies to go in and then a nice Christmas card for them. I am sure there are some people on this site that have great recipes and ones that aren't two hard. For most sweets you will need all purpose flour, sugar, brown sugar, baking power, baking soda, pecan nuts(are great for baking),salt, sticks of butter, maybe sticks of Crisco,Cinnamon, measuring cup, teaspoons and tablespoons, a mixer, one big bowl, and a couple of small bowls. Maybe you can go to an Aunts house or a Grandma house for some of that stuff and they could offer some guidance and help. I wish you luck. Merry Christmas and have a great New Year

Go to the mall and get a photo taken and put it in a pretty frame....something cheap and the whole hard to please family can enjoy!!!
