Show interest in him and his ideas, give him hope that you two can be happy together forever, be the positive light in his life.
But be your self, do not act like something you are not, condemning yourself to an existance of deceit and unhappiness for you both. If your inerests are not really somewhat close, it probably won't make one or the other happy, so it seems like you first have to have something in common...?

There are various methods, however the 3 best ways to get to a mans heart as you say, are as follows:
1. Feed his fat face with his favorite foods, or as they say, (Through his Stomach)
2. Make him laugh
3. Sexually arouse him, or as they say, "Make him hot and horny" then of course allow nature to take her course;)

LISTEN to him. (Not like dog, I don't mean be "obedient"). Men love to talk about themselves, about their likes and dislikes, but especially about their work. Just listen tenativley, and let him 'have the floor' when he's talking. For awhile, anyway, don't be a doormat. This works everytime for every man. I've even heard men say it!
