God is love and love is represented in God. We cannot make love as our God but we can love because of God.

Both-"all good things come from the Father" that includes love- and God is love is a direct quote 1 John 4:8 Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.

God is love.
Unconditional love.
People can't understand that, because we, as humans with faults, have "conditional" love.
That is why we don't understand why He forgives and forgets.
That is why we don't understand when He doesn't answer our prayers the way we would like: because He is looking long-term, and He knows what we ask for might not be the best thing for us.
He wants the best for us, because He is love.
Bad things happen, and He didn't promise us that bad things wouldn't happen -- but He promises us to be there with us to comfort us and strengthen us when they do.
That is love.
