Irish coffee, fresh ground coffee is better but Nescafe will do make your coffee, first put a spoon or 2 of sugar in the glass, then add your whiskey, leave the teaspoon in the glass to make sure when you add the hot coffee the glass wont break, give a good stir, then with the teaspoon turned the opposite way slowly pour the cream over the back of the spoon, you will see more less out much cream you need as when you get almost to the top of the glass, you should have a nice even amount of cream ,Merry Christmas enjoy

Double cream,do not use that that muck out of a can..Put your pot of cream in the freezer for about 10 minutes prior to using. Boil the kettle and warm your glasses.. Make your black coffee not to strong. Add your whiskey, this must be jameson irish whiskey, nothing else will do. Add a small spoonful of sugar. Gently whip your cream or just give a good shake in the pot. Gently stir the coffee around, slowly pour the cream over the back of the warm spoon,it should settle on top, about 10/15mm thick.

You'll need some fresh brewed coffee and some Irish whiskey.

First get the coffee brewing. While the coffee is brewing pour two ounces of the Irish whiskey into a big coffee mug.

Watch the coffee brew. While it's brewing drink the whiskey.

Pour two more ounces of whiskey in the coffee mug. The coffee will be halfway done by now. Drink the whiskey.

Pour two more ounces of whiskey in the coffee mug and down it immediately.

Forget that the coffee is done and drink some more whiskey straight out of the bottle.

Begin singing "Danny Boy".

Sing it again
and again
and again.

Have a great day.

Drink the reheated coffee tomorrow to calm your headache.

i used to make it as the following: filter coffee, then add a shot of Tia maria, whiskey or some other kind of alcohol you fancy - i normally don't bother with sugar but if you do its a good idea to add it now so you can give it a good stir before the cream goes on. Finally i get a very cold tea spoon and pour the cream over the back of the spoon so it sits on top rather than mixing into the coffee.

Having just written all this I'm beginning to wonder whether I've just described a "floater" coffee..... trouble is that's now making me think of other kinds of floaters!!! ha ha

Strong black coffee, Jameson's or Tullamore Dew, sugar and double cream. Warm the glass, add the coffee and the sugar, stir, pour in the whisky, then top up with the cream poured gently over the back of a spoon so that it doesn't mix with the coffee. You can add Kahlua or Tia Maria with the Whisky for an extra kick.

in a caffe latte style glass, put a tea spoon of brown sugar, add your irish whisky. Stir these together. Then add your coffee making sure that it is really hot. Then top with double cream that you have shaken. Pour this over the back of a teaspoon into the glass. This helps it to float. then enjoy!
