Does this look like the haircut i asked for? How to find a GOOD hairstylist?

this is the picture that i brought in to my hairstylist- minus the bangs.

I know not all hairstyles work for everyones type of hair.. but it just doesn't look the same to me... It looked good when she cut it that day, and then the next day all the ends were sticking out everywhere! :( The picture that i brought in looks like its more shorter cut in the back.. What should i do? How do you find a good hairstylist? Trial and error?! Any tips! Thanks!

Let me start off by saying your hair looks cute,don't worry,but NO,it is not the same cut at all. The picture you took with you is a bob with an under cut,with the sides longer then the back with a side bang. The cut you have is kind of like a layered bob with pieces on the sides a little shorter then the back with no undercut,the over haircut is longer then the picture with no side bang. Be careful asking for an undercut.allot of stylist don't know how to cut it right.Maybe that is why she did not give you an undercut,if that is the case then that would be better then butchered,believe me. I think you should leave your hair alone for a while and then in a couple months you could try again with someone else. Try using a round brush when you blow dry,that should give it a better shape and make the hairs that stick up go down. It looks cute though! Good luck. P.S. Don't ask for choppy layers like someone above said,that is not how the picture is.

Curl it under more at the ends with a straightener, also it doesnt look like the hairstylist cut enough layers in, go back and ask them for LOTS of short choppy layers and when theyre done insist you want more. (:

Take the picture with you!!! this helps them out ALOT and makes it possible for them to get your hair closer to what you are wanting.. if you just describe it verbally, the image that forms in the hairstylist's mind might be TOTALLY different than the one in your mind.. take the pic!!

I think it is a good cut, but I agree with others, go back and get some shorter layers cut. It will add that "something extra" that your style is missing compared to the other pic.

Looks like you got what you asked for. even if you had the same person who did the cut in the photo cut your hair it would be slightly different. I think the stylist did a good job. Looks to me like you have some natural wave in your hair, if you want it more like the photo i would blow it out straight and flat iron directing it under. Then you could use a product like sexy hair frenzy to make it more piecy and messy.

I think the picture you brought in has edgier bangs, and it's not all one length. You could just go back in and ask for more layers and edgy bangs.

It does look pretty much the same. They did not put enough layers in it though, but if you style it right it could look like that. Cute chose!!!

ok um....it looks ok but i would go again and ask for the bangs, it adds alot to the cut and you need to get the back shorter. and get the layers more stacked.
