Pray each and every night that a soldier is safe and doing his job and in a few months will go home to his family safe.
Pray that each soldier that has been injured in battle for a full and speedy recovery, to go home to their family.
Pray that each soldier killed in battle has not died in vain, but has defended his friend, family and more over his country.
Pray that the families of the soldiers will again see their husbands, wives, moms, and dads, brothers, sisters. Aunts and Uncles.
Fly an american flag to show your patriotism, and your support of the American Military.
Do not put into stupid people who believe that this war is pointless, it MAY be so, but the lives are not. The lives and the REASON Why we are fighting are not pointless.
Connect with a soldier, via snail mail, or the internet and tell him how much you appreciate your work.
Last put not least...vote...vote vote vote vote. Practice your freedoms.

Well since the chemical scares, mail to "Any Soldier" is no longer accepted. But send electronic mail at
http://www.supportyourtroops.us/countries.cfm
and you can pick the country.
Or send them a postcard from this site for free http://www.letssaythanks.com/Home1024.html
http://www.thankyousoldier.com/
You can't really know what they want or need. But just a word of thanks or praise will lift their spirits. To know that the press is wrong and there are people back home that think about them is a warming feeling.
Been there and still treasure my holiday cards from strangers.
Search out for a nearby hospital with injured soldiers and just ask if there is anything you could donate. Usually they are delivered wearing a hospital gown and robe and have nothing else in their possession.
Happy Holidays and thumbs up!!

How about "Thank you"? They are not looking for anything for what they do. Donations are nice, but if you can't afford it, you can't afford it. When you find a soldier or sailor, just thank them.

As stupid as it sounds... go to your local airport.
Okay, they do this thing. I live in Dallas, which we have an airport here. EVERY SINGLE DAY they have people that go, and welcome the troops. It's a big deal, a whole lot of fun... so check that out.

Saying thank you to a veteran is enough, no more is ever expected.

Adopt a service member and write letters. It's free and a great morale booster.

go to the uso site and various other military sites and you can send a note of thanks or email and it doesn't cost you a thing but there are ppl overseas without families that it sure does mean a lot to.

you could go and say thank you to the troops. I am sure that they would love that.

When you see one, walk up to him or her and say, "Thank you so much for serving our country!"
People don't realize how much it means to a serviceman to hear that! And it's free.
