No because we are mix of both parents and we won't necessarily get all of their characteristics. Also the genes may go back to grandparents. Some of your personality is also learned behaviour so depends on your influences in life e.g. going to uni...travelling. Very interesting question that.

No your a combination of the 2 parents, you can see certain traits without doubt, sometimes years later. But you have your own identity and personality.You quite often see similarities in grandparent traits.

Apparently, yes, in my case which is bound to drive my husband mad in a few years!
But he will have his revenge as he is ever so often reminding me more of his parents.
Teenage rebellion is the best chance that anyone has at denouncing their family's traits- and look what that turns us into!

Im a very proud yet strong woman who believes in me... a lesson i grew up with. Now looking back, i can see clearly that both my parents were strong believers in themselves who accomplished may dreams and goals in life and still are. I also see my twin daughters (19) gaining the same beliefs and strength in themselves... who and what are you without believing...especially in yourself ? thanks mom and dad
