When I click on various links in IE 7 it closes everything in Internet Explorer. I can not figure out why. My other computer does not have this problem with IE 7 using the same links.

I had the same problem and it has something to do with the installation. I downloaded IE7 to my desktop and then uninstalled IE7 rebooted and then reinstalled IE7. I rebooted one more time and everything seems to be working well again. I dont exactly why this is a issue on some machines, but this is how I fixed it.

I agree with ike. I haven't used IE since my homepage got hijacked. I switched to Firefox and I have had no problems whatsoever.

beacuse its full of bugs like every other microsoft product, get the patches if any or install firefox its much more stable than IE.

Go to windows updates and make sure you have all of the updates for it.

Mine works fine here.

You could uninstall and then reinstall it after you have updates.

Use Firefox ( http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/ ), or Opera ( http://www.opera.com/ ).
Internet Explorer is a lower quality browser.
