I haven't bathed my outside dog in weeks because it's been cold (30 degrees F). She usually smells like the hay in her doghouse. Yesterday, though, we went to the park and she got into some fluid that smells like an open sewer. Is there a way that I can give her a dry bath? She looks kind of uncomfortable and the stinky stuff is not somewhere that she can groom herself. She is a shephard and has a short mane. Please help! She's stinkin' like Lincoln . . .

Give her a bath with a good brand of oatmeal based and vitamin E dog shampoo. Also, your dog's habit of rolling in noxious materials could be a sign she has a skin problem, which just makes the odor worse. And PLEASE don't wrap her in any blanket after a bath! Thats just asking for pnemonia.
A vet visit maybe be the best answer for skin conditions.

You should give her a bath and let her stay in the house while she's drying off. Also put blankets on her.
