There is no evidence of anything regarding God. That means that all of us have our own conception.

Since some people believe that God created EVERYTHING there couldn't be anything before God. If there was a 'before' the 'before' was God. It's a brick wall in the human brain. I don't think we really have a way to understand what could have come before nothing so people believe that that 'nothing' was still God. The only thing I can think of that could have come before an absolute beginning would have to be the end of something else. In that case, you're not talking about the absolute beginning anymore. It starts to go in a circle. I don't think any human can comprehend it beyond a certain point whether they believe in God or not. It makes me a little nauseous.

Cause he was and always will be
He (Allah) is the First before every first and the Last after every last. His Firstness necessitates that there is no (other) first before Him and His Lastness necessitates that there is no other last after Him. I do stand witness that there is no god but Allah both openly as well as secretly, with heart as well as with tongue.
O' people, do not commit the crime of opposing me, do not be seduced into disobeying me and do not wink at each other with eyes when you hear me. By Allah, Who germinates the seed and blows the wind, whatever I convey to you is from the Prophet. Neither the conveyor (of Allah's message, i.e. the Prophet) lied nor the hearer misunderstood.
Well, it is as though I see a misguided man[1] who is shouting in Syria (ash-Sham) and has put his banners in the out-skirt of Kufah. When his mouth would be fully opened, his recalcitrance would become intense and his steps on earth would become heavy (and tyrannical) then the disorder (so created) would cut the people with its teeth and war would rage with (all) its waves, days would become severe and night full of toil. So when the crops grows and stands on stalks, its foam shoots forth and its lightning shines, the banners of misguiding rebellion would fire up and shoot forth like darkening night and surging sea. This and how many other storms would rend Kufah and gales would sweep over it, and shortly heads would clash with heads, the standing crop would be harvested and the harvest would be smashed.

I think everyone has different answers when it comes to God because they try to create a god that fits into their life style instead of living their life to fit God. We say God always was because God tells us He always was. John 1:1

Questions about God are questions about the fundamental truths of the universe and reality. Is there a center of reality, is there a powerful person in charge, or not?
And if there is someone who is good, powerful, and in the center, do you want to have a relationship with that person?
My faith says that you can't show someone God (there's some verses in the Bible that go along with that). Everyone has to find evidence for God on their own, with evidence that only makes sense to that person. So look for your own evidence, and good luck with that.

Because if god did not always exist, what force would have caused him to come into existance? The very idea necesitates yet another creator that created god. and where did that creator come from? Well they either always existed or were created by another god. and so on and so forth to infinity. So either god has always existed or we end up in some ridiulous state with an infinite number of creators each creating anotehr god who creates a universe and another god. etc.

there is only one God, the God of the Jews, and not christians. They have recorded history and inspiried writtings telling us of everything back to creation. In the spirit world,(eternity), where God abides, there is no element of time. toGod who sees the end from the beginning, there is no time. time was built into man because God was going to do things in "time periods". Often God spoke of things that has not happened yet as though they have. example is when he told Abraham " I have made you the father of many nations", and at that time,
Abraham didnt even have a son. The Bible says that God raises the dead and calls things that dont exist as if they did.In the beginning, there was only One God and it is still that way today. God has put in man a desire to know him and be in relationship with him. However, when a man feels drawn to know his creator, but doesnt have knowledge of the Only God, then he will accept "man made Gods". God came to earth in order to draw men back to himself. He came in the form of a baby so he could experience what it is like to be a human so he could relate to us. the baby's name was Jesus. That is the English translation. Another name is Emmanuel, which means "God with us". The Jews and Christians have records of the Only True God. Start there and ask God to reveal himself to you. :)

the question contains an internal contradiction. That is the concept of time. Time is a creation of God and therefore God exists outside of time. To say He always was, is and will be is the best human language can do to relate this aspect of God.

In their minds they have taken away God's right to have ancestors, or loving parents, or a wife, or even a home planet.
To your dog, you are God. You were there before it became a member of the family, so ...... "you must have always been there"
Better yet, to your dog, you are god because you can work miracles. Proof: You can open a door, your dog cannot.
To open the door you used the technology of a door knob. Your dog calls that a "miracle".

Spirit is eternal. He is a spiritual being and as such His existence is eternal. We are also spiritual beings and our existence is likewise eternal. We were already intelligent beings before we were born and we will continue to be unique beings after mortality ends. There is no beginning nor end to spirit.
We say that matter can neither be created nor destroyed, only changed in form. Spirit is more refined and cannot be discerned by our mortal senses. It is, however, equally permanent and cannot be created nor destroyed, thus eternal.

Forget about God. SOMETHING always was. Even cosmologies that posit endless and beginningless cycle of universe creation/destruction have the ultimate mystery: this process/potential just always existing. Think about it DEEPLY and it will make your hair stand on end.
