Been on a date a couple of weeks ago - date went ok, met up for a drink and a meal. Conversation flowed throughout, and he even walked me to the train station (and waited with me while I waited for my train - i am not used to being in the company of gentlemen ;) ).
However, how can a girl tell whether a guy is interested? I texted to say I had enjoyed the evening (and got a response), and I texted a week later to wish my date well for an interview (as he had said told me about it), and I also got a reply text saying thanks. I am not sure whether I am brave enough to push my luck and ask him for another date if he is not interested - what's everyone else's opinion?

Why do you think asking him for another date is in any way pushing your luck? Don't you think you're worth another go? You say your first date went okay, so why not go for it? It sounds like he's a real gent if he's seeing you get safely onto your train home.

I think if he wasn't interested in seeing you again, he wouldn't have waited with you until your train arrived, and he wouldn't have responded to your texts. Go on, girl, go for it! Ask him out! You never know, he might be "the one". Good luck!

Personally, though I would have done the same as you in texting a couple times, if he hasn't made any effort at all to instigate contact evey by way of texting, then I wouldn't pursue him. There's obviously something there stopping him from contacting you.

Of course, there is no harm in you trying to arrange another date but just for me personally, if someone can't be bothered then why should I bother!!

What's the worse that could happen? You get rejected! It's better to know now than later. But what if you don't, you get to go on another wonderful date, it may even go better than you think.

Why not get a couple you know to invite you out on their date and ask you to make up a foursome?
That way he can acceot more easliy...if he is not too sure he would be on 'safer' ground.
Things may develop from there

The only way to find out is to ask. Or just go the rest of your life wondering.

Ask him. What do you have to lose? Nothing in my book cos if he says yes then bonus and if he says no then his loss. Move on!

Let me know how you get on.

You have nothing to lose, whats the worst that can happen? He says no, if he does then its his loss and you can move on. If he says yes, hurrah :)
