Apparaju, I had exactly the same problem when I was in school. It just happens for no reason and it takes a while to come out of that dreadful atmosphere. I was told to do regular yogic exercises and just take it as easy as passing clouds. But dude, its all easy to say. I just had to suffer whenever it hunted me down and guess what - scored poorly in my eleventh exams. It just took me around 3-4 months to get everything settled and back to normal. Becasue the fear dies down as time passes by. And I dont get that now becuase my mind is matured enough to understand the silliness of the fear I had.

But since you are working, you should be taking this a bit seriously. The way I tackled this was BY LIVING WITH IT. You have to adopt the policy that "only iron can cut iron". If you are in a group and you just encountered with it, just have this attitude, "Oh man, you are back again, well lets go for a walk". This is what I did but dont expect any change happening overnight. It will be an extremely slow recovery and you wouldn't be able to measure its "size" each day as such.

Actually this also shows your attitude of pessimism. My personnel guess, thats it. Contact me if you need more info !!

It sounds like you have developed Panic Disorder. This is a fairly common problem and is actually a part of a normal reaction. There is good news: with short term therapy you can be pretty much cured of it. Look for a psychologist in your area who specializes in a form of therapy known as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (aka CBT). Typically 85-90% of pt who under go exposure exercises can be cured of their panic disorder. Therapy usually lasts between 10 and 20 sessions (s/t shorter), depending on the severity of your problems. You won't need medication. Use the link below to find a psychologist near you.

Don't worry, be cool. Happiness decreases fear in mind, if mind gets reacted automatically heart beat comes to normal. So be happy. Try to do meditation so that you won't get fear.
