How bad is it? It couldn't possibly be as bad as mine was for my first semester of high school. Just show them the report card the worst thing that could possibly happen is that you get grounded. Just vow to do better in school next time.

Though you really shouldn't do that, here's how you could do it.

I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH THAT YOUR PARENTS WILL UNDERSTAND But I have to answer your question with a good answer.

If the teacher gave it to you in class, you could just "lose it" and never find it again; unless this is not your first sucky report card and your parents are expecting it to be in your hand on a certain date.
If this is the case you can take the following courses of action

1. Find a friend that has a better report card then you do. Try to find a piece of the school's stationery. Cut holes where the bad grades are (ONLY THE GRADES, on your report card) and put your report card on top of your friend's. Use a copier equipped with School stationery and copy so that his grades show through under your classes. Give to parents.

I should note that this is EXTREMELY DANGEROUS and could get you in massive trouble with the school. EXECUTE WITH EXTREME CAUTION. Just show it to your parents...

2. JUST GIVE UP. Try showing it to your parents when they are on the phone so they can't scream at you, or leave it on the table and go to a friend's house for an extremely long time. Your parents will understand your bad grade and will not be mad for very long.

If the report card is mailed, you are screwed. Take a vacation at a friend's house until the heat dies down.

DO THE RIGHT THING

IN the short term you can hide it from them, by not showing it to them. In the long term no, especially if you have any plans to do something in school that might require a certain GPA and your grades won't make the cut.

Sounds like there is some fear associated from showing your grades. I'd be honest with the parents and have a plan on how to do better. An alternative is, talk to your teacher and school counselor about your fears. They also will have an insight in how to break this news to your parents.

You cant, hon. They know when report cards come out and some schools notify parents as well. Take a deep breath and show them.

you can't.
even if you throw it away, burn it, or bury it, they will eventually know the marks on your report card. at least they will ask you if they don't get it, and if you can't show them, they can call your teachers and ask them.
just show them whatever it is on the report card. it saves more energy than thinking hard how to hide it and still get scowled at anyway (even double time since you try to hide it away from them).

As tempting as it may be to hide it, you'll need to take it to them, tell them it's horrible (they can't be surprised) and let them know you're going to try harder. Be mature and they may go a little easier on you. This is a life lesson, as mistakes and bad outcomes will happen later in life during your career, and you will have to own up to those bad outcomes with your employer.

It's better to show it and get it over with. They'll shout for a few days and since it's christmas time they'll have to forgive you and you can enjoy x-ams without stress and tension

I normally don't say things to offend people. But it's obvious why you asked this question, and why you're in the trouble YOU'RE IN... If something doesn't threaten your freedom or life, it doesn't matter. You need to be honest!
