I just returned from a trip to some of the Caribbean islands. I was amazed at the types of souvenirs people brought back... woven palm leaf hats, plastic stuff made in China, pirate gear.
I've also been to Disney World, and was amazed at the variety of junk people purchased to remember their visit.
None of the trinkets had any meaning once they broke, wore out, or were stuck on a back closet shelf.
Your father showed amazing wisdom to choose a memento that would remind him not just of the fantasy of Disney World, but the freedom and meaning of the USA. He was obviously showing you by spending his money that he valued the basic freedoms the USA offers its citizens.
Burn it? no... learn from it.
Best wishes for a blessed Christmas and New Year.

For the same reason that if I went to Aruba, I'd want something to show I was there as well.
Why are you asking us? Ask your father!

Probably because he "knows" what that flag stands for...
And, he must of enjoyed his time in Disney land, and wants to remember it as the most freedom and fun loving time he probably will ever experience...
"Burn it"??? NO! Maybe when they find Natalie Holloway, the girl missing in Aruba from the USA, you can drape it across her coffin, ok? Give my regards to those who helped murder her and hide her, where ever she is...(not kidding).
I wish you well..
