Yes, as a matter of fact, most Christmas traditions are not based in Christian traditions, but Pagan Roman. I know a lovely Muslim family that puts up a tree, and does the whole Christmas thing.

Sure. Christmas can also be enjoyed as a secular holiday, especially in America, and I know many people who do. It does not imply any disrespect to Christianity - just as Christianity incorporated customs from local and pagan groups, such as the decision to celebreate Jesus' birthday in December (which is nowhere in the Bible), so can local groups incorporate once-Christian customs into a secular celebration.

True, it's hard to ignore its Christian roots, but in that case even Thanksgiving could be deemed a religious holiday (because the thanks had to be given to a higher power of some form).

Most people who celebrate Christmas are not true christians...thus they are compelled to celebrate this pagan holiday and or the birth of Jesus...which was not what Jesus or the early Christians promoted.....Therefore you cannot celebrate Christmas and be a True Christian

Considering that it's a Federal holiday in the United States, it would certainly seem to be the case

But it really depends on what you mean by "celebrate".

I celebrate my family on the 25th.

My religious holiday is TODAY.

And speaking of that, I need to finish the food for tonight's Yule celebration and the handfasting that's going to be done tonight.

TTFN, folks!

Honestly, Xmas is no longer about Christ. Sure, maybe fourty (or more) years ago, but not today. It's a mass marketing tool. So put up an Xmas tree, buy some presents, make the outside of your house VERY loud, bake some gingerbread, and call it a day.

yes they can, but what they do is they celebrate the traditions, like putting up the tree, decorating, eating a lot, etc. Just because they dont believe in it doesnt mean that they cant celebrate it, and im sure that many people do this

Yes, Even if you do not acknowledge Jesus as your savior you can acknolowedge him as a great philosopher. Many of his teachings are the basis for moral behavior and laws all over the world.

Absolutely!

You may also visit our church for service if you are not a Christian. Everyone is welcome to share a good inspiring message, hear beautiful choir music and share fellowship and coffee afterward.

We hope that you will visit a church near you and see why we have such a passion for life!

I do because my family is Christian and my boyfriend's family is Catholic. He's agnostic (leaning towards atheism) and I'm Wiccan, so we're pretty severely outnumbered.
