God is a spirit. If your looking around your room, or the world, or in your pocket book, or a women for God, forget it. God is with you all the time. Did you know God never left you from the time you were born. It is us who leave him. We wonder in the everyday life and when something really happens, like death or someone close to death that we know and love it's then we look outside ourselves for help and did you know that something outside ourselves the thing were looking for is all ready inside us, down deep inside our souls. Sometimes it's hard to recognize it because were so wrap up in the world that we pay no attention to it. But if you listen quietly to your self and talk to God you will recognize it. You might say OK I'll do that. Then you wait for a big bang of something. God don't work like that. You have to have patients and faith without it you will not recognize it, or hear it.So the answer to your question is were to look for God is yourself and to read his word the bible is to know him and to recognize him is to listen.

If you saw someone who had had cancer for 4 years be miraculously healed, you'd have seen God. If you saw 150 people standing up praying in Africa, you'd have seen God. If you saw a firefighter on 9/11 run out of the building shouting "God help us, God help us, God help us" you'd have seen God. You probably wouldn't recognize it however if God slapped you in the face because most likely you are an atheist who tends to hate Christians.
Your disrespect is shown because you don't capitalize 'God.'

You'd look within your own heart.
I can't tell you how you will recognize Him, any more than I could tell you just what this candy I'm eating tastes like...but I can tell you that, when you find Him, you will know.
Yeah, I know, that's alot like the "mysterious ways" answer, but, I do assure you, it is so...

u look at everything good in ur live and that is GOD look out side u will see him he is all around u the good and the bad just beleave in him do go to others talk about him to everyone and when u get that warm filling in side u that is GOD HE IS ALL WAYS WITH U right now he is sitting with u just talk to him about anything pray to him he will here u and be there for u HE LOVES U .
