When we talk about your god, we are supposed to do so "philosophically." Why? Why not treat your god just like all other objects and devise experiments to detect his presence or absence?

The classic religious response is, "god must remain hidden. If he proved his existence, that would take away faith." This is clever -- here we have an object named god that proves its existence by completely hiding its existence. Of course, in the real world, any object that provides no evidence for its existence is classified as IMAGINARY.

Even more interesting, this object called god, which is supposedly hiding its existence completely, is in the meantime supposedly writing books, answering prayers and incarnating itself. How can that be?

Could it be the reason why we can find no empirical evidence for your god's existence is not because "your god is a magical being completely able to hide from us." It is because your god is imaginary?
Hmmmmmm, yet people still believe in this fairytale?

Well, I'll assume here that you're speaking generally. What I find rather odd is that other people worry so much about whether or not others believe in something they view as Imaginary.

And why is it that when one speaks of Love or Hate... yes, we can find a chemical reaction in the brain (and body) for these things... but when we speak about them as experiences, we speak philisophically....... why not just speak completely scientifically about it? We don't because that is not how it interacts with our world. It's a chemical reaction within us, but we FEEL something from it.

Now, not saying this proves anything. It doesn't. But it does make me wonder why when it comes to belief in a Higher Power that suddenly we have to have scientific evidence of it... yet we don't for Emotions (Both of these, Emotions and Belief in a Higher Power are chemical reactions). Since, as you seem to be saying, Belief in God is "worthless" since it's a "fairytale" because it can't be proven to exist Empirically.... then why isn't Emotion worthless? You can't Prove you Love someone without outside help (buying a rose and giving it to your girl). Without the rose, you have no way of proving Love. (Generally speaking). Yet, to speak of Love and Roses together, would be more philisophical than Scientific... wouldn't it? Hhhmmmmm

Again, I'm not using this to Prove a Higher Power exists. Just pointing out that people seem to want to place this idea within one category or another without actually looking at all of the angles. Religious people do it as well as Non-Religious. Of course, some Religious people take it to the extreme.... and I'm not sure why anyone bothers with people like that.

Friend, I have seen some of your demonic questions, & you have done everything to try to dis-prove God, Friend all you have done was made a fool of yourself & Proved God, And again you want an answer, but tell us not to use the bible, what are you afraid of, Is there something in that bible that makes you feel guilty, come on now, is there, remember, you say it is a fairy tale, So if it is a fairy tale, why are you trying so hard to dis-prove God if you don't believe in God, We have the right to believe in The One True God. Now you say that when you talk about our God that you are to talk philosophically, why do you, our God is a simple God. I think somewhere in your life & up to now you have been so misable inside that you want everyone else to see it your way, that will not work, Grow up. How many times do you need to try to convince the world in one day that God does not exist, He exist, rathere you like it or not. If I told you that Peter Pan was a fairy tale, which he is, Do I need to get on this site 5 times in one day to try to prove to people that peter pan is not real. The more, people like you that try to dis-prove, you just stick your own foot in your mouth & prove more that God does exist.

I wonder if you are open to a response outwith your own beliefs? To "devise experiments" and to look for "empirical evidence" are useful activities for examining the phenomenal universe. But God is beyond this world and beyond all that we can detect, or conceivably detect, with our scientific instruments and/or our senses. God is the Creator of all these manifest worlds. You cannot detect the Immeasurable with a measuring rod, no more than you can find the center of the Earth by looking around on its surface.

It' not really weird. My God has him own special spot because Christians can't help talking about him and they want to ask questions that will help increase their knowledge in their faith. God is not imaginary. Check out www.clarifyingchristianity.com or it's something like that. God left so many evidences! Check them out!

I agree. I would be an atheist if it were not that Jesus appeared to me. But I agree that things that cannot be seen or proven must remain in a neutral position. However, fairytale is a little far because there is no happy ending.

Your thinking couldn't be more fallacious. Christians (informed ones) don't ask you to believe without evidence. Faith and evidence are not mutually exclusive.

Here are some points of evidence for the existence of Christ as God:

Eyewitness evidence
Documentary evidence
Corroborating evidence
Scientific evidence
Rebuttal evidence
Identity evidence
Psychological evidence
Profile evidence
Medical evidence
Evidence of the missing body
Evidence of His appearances

The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned.

so just how would you see if God is there.. what emperical data woudl you look for. what is God made of? Does God leave any unique traces of His presence like footprints, or skins cells? God can never be proven or disproven. God controls who is aware of his existence and how is not. only God reveals God as Karl Barth said. we have no capacity to transcend ourselves and enter into heaven and see if God is really there.

Because our God is indeed real. Just because you don't believe he's there, doesn't mean he isn't there. Be patient God will reveal himself to us one day.
