As sweet as his gift is that does seem a bit much for only being together a week. Seems like he's moving too fast. You're not ungrateful. I would be kinda nervous too. Appreciate his gift though. But in the future, near or far, just make sure that you 2 understand at what speed you want your relationship to go.

It means he's not ready to ask you to marry him but that he really wants to be in it till he does.You should be happy that's he's being so extravagant.Although I'm not a diamond girl.

unless this guys rich, there's two things in his head... either he wants to be with you forever, or he wants into your pants...
if he already get's into your pants, then yes, i'd say he's in this for the long haul...
that's all saying that the guy's not rich, if he's rich, it might be normal gifts for him to give...
