Is there any way I can convert my mpg-4 songs into mp3 without having to download them all over again?

I have an i870 and i wanted 2 download music to it but it only takes mp3's (i think, if not I dont know what to do so that it takes other formats) the problem is that most of my songs or almost all of them are in mpg-4 and I don't want to download them all over again. Is there anything I can do?
