I was wondering, why when people caugh does it alwas seem to come in two's or three's? Kinda sounds like this caaugh caugh! It is rarley just one caugh.. Why is this?

portions of the irritating phlem are more adhesive than others...the first cough loosens them and the successive coughs break them free.

Letting out the rest of cough number one...i just coughed and it was only once..lol

The first cough they do is farely short so the rest of the cough has to come out larger because of the small beggining.

The cough is a method of removing flem from the system. The more flem the more coughts. The first just starts to loosten it up and start it moving, the second and consecutive ones clear it out.
