how do you manage or get rid of Essential Tremors

There are medications to help with essential tremors. Some find relief, some don't on these medications. However, you really should be discussing this with your doctor because there are a lot of problems that mimic essential tremor symptoms and are really the beginning of something bigger such as parkinsons, brain tumor, etc.

Also, if you are unsure if it is essential tremors and you just have mild tremors... you can try subsiding the symptoms by not smoking, cutting out the caffeine and alcohol.. etc. These stimulants can cause tremors too.... :)

Hope it helps with a little insight.

I work for the International Essential Tremor Foundation. Essential Tremor (ET) is an action tremor. If your tremor only activates while at rest, it is most likely you do not have ET. Our suggestion is to see a neurologist who specializes in movement disorders for a second opinion. There are more than 14 different types of tremor and only a trained neurologist can make the proper diagnosis and offer treatment options. Good luck to you. Let us know if we can be of any help to you.

I hope I can help. I do get night tremors, so I went to the web and
there was a list full of definition for tremors, essential, being one
of them.

I saw an Internist/endocrinologist who referred me for an MRI,
but did as certain questions, had I gained a lot of weight, was my
shoe size larger, did my hands appear larger etc. If I understood
correctly he is trying to rule out Parkinson's disease and a
pituitary brain tumor, I believe usually benign.
Hope this helps.

I have never heard of this. I know that Essential is the word that means they haven't a clue why you have them. I have an essential Blood disorder. No clue why. So the tramors should be treated if possible by a physician. You may need a second opinion if you feel you are not being treated for the condition. Look it up on Web MD or National Institute of Health website to see what they say. Good luck.
