I know a couple trap games..
First is the "Annie" as in Annie Oakley.
Line up on the 25 yard line. First 3 or 4 people in line mount their guns. You can have as many people as you want participate, but only 3-4 mount ready at once.
First guy calls for the bird then either:
A) He hits it. Now the next guy in line calls for a bird (if only 3 or 4 participants, wait for everyone to reload)
B) He misses, the second takes a shot at the clay.
If the second guy hits the bird that the first guy missed, the first guy gets a "ding" - and goes to the end of the line - two dings and you're out. If the first, and second guy miss, but the third guy hits it 1 and 2 get dings and go to the end of the line. If 1, 2, and 3 miss, but 4 hits it, 1, 2, and 3 get dings. Another way to get dinged, is to shoot a broken bird if you're too eager to take your shot, or by shooting out of turn.
Its not quite "back up" - its everyman for himself, and you usually put $2 down per person - 1/2 goes to cover the cost of the clays, the winner gets the other half. Its a lot of fun "dinging" your friends out when you hit their missed birds. Even more bragging rights if you're the 4th man and you hit the bird 3 feet off the ground as its dropping about 60+ yards away - I've done that and made some jaws drop.
Another game is the "quail walk".
This simulates bird hunting. You need someone to manually pull the bird randomly. You load and start slowly walking from the 27 yard line toward the trap with a low gun (just as if you were bird hunting). The puller can throw the bird at any time - you don't know when its coming. When he throws it when you're anywhere from the 27 to the 16, you mount your gun and take your shot. Thats all there is to it.

A buddy an I like to play a little game called "Catch the *uck". *uck is usually what is exclaimed after a miss because the clay is just a blur. Also be ready for a low score if you can't hit fast moving targets.
We use one of those cheap plastic throwers with a golf club attached to the handle for extra extension.
The clays are thrown in a semi trap style by a person standing 10 feet to the right and 20 feet behind the shooter.
Just wing em as hard as you can directly in front of the shooter. You get 2 points for a first shot hit. 1 point for a second shot break. Or .5 points for a third shot hit. No points for a miss. If the thrower throws one in the wrong direction they get deducted a point(we all rule on throwing areas, usually about a 40 degree area in front of the shooter). With the extension on the thrower you can get easily 200 yards out of a clay and a guestimate of around 40 mph.
It gives the shooter some bragging rights if he/she can go 25/25 on this one no matter how many shells were spent on the clays.

At our club we have some combination Skeet/Trap fields. We play a game called Skrap. We shoot from the skeet stations but use the trap house to launch the birds. Everyone starts with 25 shells. Start at the low house. You have to break a bird before you move to the next station. The last person with a live round wins. It's a lot of fun and helps in hunting situations since unlike skeet, the shots change all the time instead of the bird traveling the same path all the time. Have fun and safe shooting.

This is another partner game. You can make the entry as little or as big as you want. We usually go like 5 dollars per team....
Then decide how many rocks per person....we usually go with 10...thats 20 per team. But you can go with as many as you want......here is how the game works.....
All shots will be made from the 25yd mark. Decide who will go first.....That person will stand on the middle stand. his partner will stand on one side or the other in the next stand over. The main shooter will call for the rock and take the shot....if he misses, his partner can then back him up with a shot of his own(at the same rock)...usually a very long tough shot....now...if the 1st shooter hits the target, and the parter shoots anyways, the rock does not count....then switch...the back up man now becomes the shooter and the shooter becomes the backup man.....same game....this will give each team a total of 20 rocks....the team with the most wins...you can pay out several way...you can play winner takes all, or pay out for the top two or three teams....thats up to you.
so to recap.....
1. Two man teams. You can decide the number of rocks per person(we usually use 10 for a total of 20 per team)
2. Shot from the 25yd mark.
3. For the first 10 shots, on team member is the shooter, the other is the back up....the shooter will call for the rock, and take the first shot...if he/she misses then the back up man gets to take a shot at that same rock.....
4. If the shooter hits the target, and the backup man fires anyways then that rock does not count.
5. After the shooter has called for his 10 rocks switch....and the back up man becomes the shooter/the shooter becomes the back up.
The team with the most rocks wins.

You might try TRAP when you shoot from behind the thrower each break you move back on yard until you have a winner.
