I believe my postman may be stealing my x-mas cards. Each year, my grandmother sends me a crisp 100.00 bill, and for the past two years I did not receive it. I receive all of my other cards, however those cards only contain x-mas greetings and no cash. Coincidently, my other brothers and sisters have not received their x-mas cards the last two years either. My grandmother INSISTS she sent them to us all, however none of us got them. Should I contact someone at the post office? I find it hard to believe that postmen in 4 different states could be in on this conspiracy, but it needs to stop!!!

I have a feeling that grandma thinks she sent you all your cards but in fact didn't. If she's an elderly lady, like mine, she may believe and say to you that she in fact did send out money and cards but the reality is that it could be early Alzheimer's and she didn't send anything.

I wouldn't think it's your postman that is stealing your money because of the same situation in other states, you do have that right. It may be that you grandmother is forgetful-showing signs of early alzhemier's. I would suggest that you have your grandmother send your next $100.00 certified. Tell your grandmother that the postman will pick her gift up at her house. You just send her the certified envelope she needs so things will be effortless for her. Fix it where all she needs to do is put that money in that envelope. That's the sure fire way to find the problem. I had a problem with a lady selling me some DVD's from ebay and she told me that she never received my dvd that was damaged when I wanted an exchange but I sent it certified where she had to sign for it and strangely all my DVDs ended up getting to me and they worked this time. I turned her in to the postmaster general though.

I think Grandma needs to consider writing checks for each of you instead. Is it possible your parents may have ended up with it?

Unfortunately, because it's cash, there's no paper trail. I'm sorry that you're not getting your presents -- it must feel awful. I don't think, however, that the postman is stealing it.

You can contact the post office to find out, but I don't think they can do anything about it.

I had a difficulty with a lady promoting me some DVD's from ebay and she instructed me that she under no circumstances received my dvd that replaced into damaged at the same time as i wanted an change yet I despatched it qualified the position she had to signal for it and unusually all my DVDs ended up getting to me and they worked this time. This has also happen to us and we were able to stack the post office were our mail was being stolen from. I believe that it is at your grandmother’s post office that the letters are missing from, and you or she needs to call the post office that receives and delivers all her mail and let them stack it for you. my advice to you is that she needs to stop sending cash, tell her to start sending you checks.

It's such a stupid way to send money via post. I meant the bank system is so advance now. Why stay in the stone age? Move on dude.

The easy fix to this is to tell Grandma that nobody mails cash. Next year make sure she writes checks.

I don't think to many postmen would risk job security and great retirement benefits for $100 bucks.
