Have some questions. Are you easy curling, using dumbells or using a machine? Have you only been working out for 1 month or have you been working out longer than that? What is your age.

If you have been working out for only a month, you should not have been trying to increase weight. Your body was not used to the stress of lifting.

I am going to guess you are lifting free weights with an easy curl bar. Begin with 3 sets of 10 reps. Start with 10 lbs, move up to 15 lbs for 2nd, and third at 20 lbs. If you can't do 10 reps on third set, do as many as you can until failure. Remember lifting is the only area it is good to fail at. Move to second exercise. Try a supported preacher curl. Here I'd go again, 10#,15#,20# for 8 reps. Third exercise I'd do dumb bell curls. If you are tired do them supported and watch your form. Form is much more important than the weight you are lifting. Grab 5#, 10#, 15# for 8 reps. Now you are done. Stretch out, eat right and take your vitamins. If you don't see results in 3 weeks. Move weight down 5# and increase reps to 15, 12, 10. Hope this helps.

Try Barbell Curls even if you can only put a 5lb weight on each side. 3-4 sets at the beginning of your bicep workout. Arnold Scharzeneggar says it's the "MEAT AND POTATOES" of the bicep routine. Mr. O like 7 times. I think he might know what he's talking about. Do forearm exercises as well. They help a lot. I shot up to 110lb DB press quick after working forearms.

Be patient. Concentrate on form and do at least 6-8 reps per set, doing a total of three sets. Do that until it becomes easy. Then move up.
