he's not 18 yet n he was 16 (still classed as child apparently) when i first started dating him.

oh and my parents said its fine coz ive been going out with him when he was classed as a child, if i wasn't now but did next week then they wouldn't let me.

how is 4 years a big age gap? my dad is 5 years older than my mum.

Thats BS hun....but you are 13 and he is 18 so if you have sex with him he will get into serious trouble....so be careful...you can do what you like but NO sex....be safe hun and have a nice time with him...

It's illegal in many places for a non-minor to date a minor. Although girls tend to mature faster than guys, I can't see that a 13 yr old would hold an 18 yr olds attention for very long. He's going to want to move on with life, as an adult...and you are barely a teen.

It's probably best to end this now and enjoy being a kid a while longer. Dating is premature under the age of 16 anyway. Don't be in such a hurry to grow up...once you get there, you've got the rest of your life to deal with the challenges, issues, and responsibilities...hold on to your childhood (and innocence if you still have any) for as long as you can.

Okay, All i have to say is that if he can't get someone his own age there is something wrong with him...He might seem cool to you cause he's older but just think about dating someone 5 years younger than you, They would be 8 and that is kind of gross. To answer your question, Yes you will have to wait, It is against the law, He is an "adult" and you are a child, That would make him a child molester.

It's already illegal. When he turns 18 he can be tried as an adult instead of a minor if your relationship turns sexual and you get caught. He must be desperate anyway, I don't know ANY 17 year old that would date someone who is under the age of 15.

It doesn't matter. He is already meeting the standards of statutory rape in almost all states. Depending on the state, this either means a slap on the wrist or a decade in prison (ie some states treat statuatory rape as the exact same crime as aggravated rape).

You probably have a minimum of 3 years to wait in order to avoid prison.

If your mom knows then I don't see a problem. I doubt your boyfriend is a pedophile. To be dating some one your age you must be pretty mature physically and mentally for him to be interested in you.
