I started a conversation, and we talked for about thirty minutes. We have been friends for years, but we are becoming VERY close friends. While we have been getting closer and closer, she touched me a lot and made comments. Lately though, I have started to pursue her. She now seems more nervous around me than ever. For instance, while playing footsie a bit during our conversation, she looked down a lot and could hardly look me in eye. She also seemed really tense while touching. People have to break up our conversations. What I wonder is why she has suddenly become incredibly nervous around me? Do girls know when a guy is pursuing them?

Yes we know. She just wants to be careful and not screw it up by doing something stupid and she's unsure of herself. Keep it up and tell her how you feel, she will relax a bit when she hears it from you that you are interested.

I am a girl and I really nervous around the guy that I like I don't talk to him but I can't look at him in the eye. So I think that she likes you. But you should ask her first.

It's safe to say she knows you are pursuing her. She may be nervous about having a relationship with someone she knows, and knows her. She may be afraid that it will hurt the friendship you already have. Take it slow and just be straight forward about what you are feeling.

she touches you a lot means that she is turned on by you and you her. when she looked down she saw something that really frightened her. she doesn't know if she's ready for all that you have. take it easy with her if you guys are old enough time will be of essence. if you're so young stay in school and don't be no fool

Maybe she is nervous because she knows now that you want to have something with her. Maybe she is just scared or maybe she doesn't want a relationship. Or maybe you showing up at her house at 2am to dig through her trash made her feel a little uncomfortable.

May be she is unsure of your intentions or your views about her and that makes her feel guilty and nervous, while thinking that perhaps you may have wrong idea about her. Girls are prone to feel that way. Anyways, I think its time to formally propose her so that she is sure of her position and can feel more comfortable and relaxed.

the thought, she would welcome the pursuit and should not be nervous....
