Hi there,
I'm asking this for my wife, The missus use to be really prone to cold sores, pretty much one every couple of weeks, this was reduced to once in a blue moon, she took L-Lysine and saint johns wart, which worked wonders, however she has had to come off the saint johns wart because it is interfering with the pill, with this the cold sores are starting to return more often and its getting her down, anyone know of any other alternative to the saint johns wart, i'm looking for something that will keep the cold sore at bay and not an after treatment.
Cheers

.She needs to take Zovirax or Valtrex to help prevent further outbreaks.. You can buy it online without a prior prescription. Zovirax is used to treat herpes infections of the skin, lip, and genitals; herpes zoster (shingles); and chickenpox. It does not cure herpes infections but decreases pain and itching and promotes healing. Topical Zovirax does not prevent the recurrence of sores but may decrease pain and itching if applied when the earliest symptoms first appear. Oral Zovirax decreases the frequency and severity of recurrent sores, but it is used only by people with severe herpes infections. Valtrex is indicated for the treatment of herpes zoster (shingles), for the treatment or suppression of genital herpes in immunocompetent individuals and for the suppression of recurrent genital herpes in HIV-infected individuals and is also indicated for the treatment of cold sores (herpes labialis).

I got clinically diagnosed with the herpes simplex virus (type 2) about four years ago, whilst I was still attending college and had a silly one-night stand. I understand a lot of girls say this, but I swear I had never done that sort of thing before. I just made a mistake that one time and suddenly I felt like I was going to have to live with the implications for the rest of my life. The hardest part was feeling I could never date other men again. After all, who wants to go out with a girl who has sores round her private parts? But since a friend shared this movie https://tr.im/V7M8d everything improved.

Not only was I able to clear away all traces of the hsv from my system in less than 3 weeks, but I was also able to start dating again. I even met the man of my dreams and I'm so lucky to write that just a week ago, in front of everyone in a busy restaurant, he got down on one knee and proposed to me!! This method provided me the opportunity to be happy and experience true love again. Now I want to help others too by sharing this story.

Keeping your immune system up can help prevent them. Take extra vitamin C & zinc.
Stress also can aggravate them, which is probably why the St Johns Wort worked well. If that seems to be a factor, have her try to drink green tea daily, it has a natural boost of antioxidants which is great for the immune system, but is also therapeutic when it comes to stress.

Well the lysine is one of the best natural alternative. I would go to the doctor and ask him about this, gently steer him/her in the dirction of an antiviral medication ie: valtrex. It is a form of herpes and if anyone has ever had chicken pox they have this virus.

Apparently rubbing them on your or someone elses genetalia does something, it either kills the cold sores or makes them better. Something to do with the pheremones that they excrete.

Check it out on google!
