The best way for your weave to look natural and do the less damage to your natural hair is to get it sewed in. Please do not do a glue in. That is damaging to your hair and you spend all that money for something that is going to last for only like 2 weeks (maybe not even that). When it becomes loose you're applying more glue to hold the extension and you're adding more damage to your natural hair. With a sew-in weave it is more expensive but the lasting results is for 3 months and your hair is growing and staying healthy underneath. And purchase Yaki/Remy hair so that you will have texture. You don't want something that says Silky because that looks like Asian hair and our hair texture isn't straight like that. But Yaki has that texture and looks more natural. I don't live in the Chicago area, but from experience I can tell you the sew-in is the best approach. Good luck.....

Use human hair with a texture close (or as close as you can) to your own hair. And find a really good stylist who is expereinced in applying the extensions. You can have it glued in, lasts about 4-5 weeks, but you can't wash your hair (loosens glue) while it's in and the removal can be brutal...
There is a way that they section off your hair and glue in the extensions so it is most like your on hair...you can't feel the tracks, but it's expensive and time consuming to get put in..and again you can't get the glue wet.
Then there's the traditional sew in weave, lasts about 6-8 weeks, you can wash your hair just be sure to rinse the shampoo out.

don't buy hair that doesn't match YOUR hair. i think weave looks ridiculous when it's blonde and your hair is black or brown. But that's obvious.
try to make sure whoever does it sews it in and leaves just enough of your hair out to cover the tracks. The more of your hair that can be seen, the faker it looks.
sorry...i don't live in chicago.

I'm not sure you can make weave look natural. At my school all the girls wear weave, but none of them look real.i would suggest you wear your natural hair. if its short try styling it until it grows. good luck with that.
