I know from the East Coast you go to Europe (either London or Amsterdam) and then to Cape Town but I'm not sure if that's the same from the West Coast.... I know there are flights through Asia but I'm not sure if that's faster than going through London or Amsterdam.

I just pulled up the schedules.. looks like the easiest way would be going san francisco to london, and then London to Capetown.

Im sure there are plenty of other ways.. like goinf San Fran to Atlanta, and then Atlanta to Jo-berg. But that you would have to get a shuttle on to cape-town.
